I am Itelmen from Kamchatka, Russia. My scholarly and creative work is led by Indigenous epistemologies and ways of being and is informed by the beautiful land of Kamchatka, the waters of the Pacific Ocean, the shores of the Sea of Okhotsk, and salmon.
I am a fisherwoman. Salmon is my life therefore I spend much time and effort to ensure fair and sustainable fishing governance in Kamchatka. In my spare time I like to craft artwork inspired by my land. I work with beads, wool, and leather.
I am from Milkovo. Currently I live in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski and work as a leading methodologist of KGBU “Kamchatka Center of Folk Arts”. My main focus is on recreating traditional Indigenous regalia through making dolls.
I am Itelmen from Kamchatka. In spear time I like to bead and work with felted wool. I work at school teaching children to create paintings out of the play dough.
