Nyivalbeyiil (Concord)

Artwork Description

Nyivalbeyiil means concord (or straight translation: friend/friends). This work is an ancient pictographic writing of the Yukaghir People. Each figure of a tree is a symbol of a human – male and female. Two parallel lines connecting the central two figures represent the strong friendship of the Yukaghirs. The circle is a symbol of unification, around which there are various figures of trees that are representatives of other peoples.
